OK. I'm going to complain about something that bugs me. A little bit. Because in the grand scheme of things I know it's just a tiny little thing, but it bugs me. I love this blogging thing. It's very cathartic for me. And it's also good for me to try and keep things upbeat and positive, as much as I can, and still be real. It's also a great way to keep friends and family in the loop, and maybe even encourage a stranger who happens along. So here's my gripe. NO COMMENTS. People drop by, and I don't know about it. Weeks go by and I don't hear from loved ones, but I hear them tell dear hubby, "But I'm reading her blog!" And really that's awesome, and I'm so glad we're staying plugged in this way. Except for the fact that many of y'all don't have a blog for me to read and comment at. So please humor me and drop a line...or even better, start up your own blog and get creative. It's really easy, and fun too. So that's my short little rant. Not much of a rant. More like a commercial for blogging.

AAARRGGHHH Petunia, it would require learning how to actually MAKE a blog site!!!! And then there's the whole digital camera thing, which means having to learn yet again something else, and stuff it into my already overcrowded brain, so I could post pictures to accompany my witty musings......I dunno, it's just so much easier to live life vicariously through YOUR postings!!!!!!!
Oh well, you are right, you certainly could use some encouragement and uplifting and yakky chatter from your readers, family, and friends.....I do admit I was rather disappointed lately when I checked and found you had not been posting.
So, consider yourself commented, encouraged, and uplifted. But don't look for a blog from me anytime soon...still sewing uniforms, you know. BLECCCHHHH. Later, your adoption buddy in arms, BJ
Oh, and J just made the sauciest pitch for watching tv - came in from playing - it is GORGEOUS outside incidentally, and said that they NEEDED to watch a "Gilligan's Island" (you know, Netflix) in order to GET THEIR BRAINS WORKING. Must get this from his expert cah salesman daddy....in any event, it worked.
That last one was from me, BJ. See, I am totally lacking in blog etiquette. I should figure out how to identify myself as something other than "anonymous". I should probably try "unanimous"...aren't they "synonymous"??? BJ (really, I do know they are not. Synonymous, that is. Okay, I have entirely too much time on my hands, and need to get back to sewing.....
Figured it out. (my identity) Okay, can I go now? Enough comments???!!!!! You'll probably retract your post......
I read. I'll comment more. I promise.
there is something wrong with Mrs. B
ELIZABERT!!!! And I of course am assuming that you are who I think you are, you should KNOW better than that!!! IT'S WEDNESDAY!!!! Remember, the Dr. said I would be NORMAL by Wednesday!!!!!
Love, Mrs. B
That just goes to prove a thing or two, because it is definitely NOT Wednesday. At least not in the land I live in.
I feel compelled to enlighten your other dear readers, lest they think I truly am "touched"....this has been a long standing amusement between Petunia and me (BJ) ....years ago I went to the Dr. on a Monday for a sinus infection, and he set me up with some medication and seriously intoned that definitely I would be "normal by Wednesday".....I guess you need to live in our universe to truly grasp the hope that such a comment would impart...!!!!!
BTW, it WAS Wednesday when I posted. Now, today, Thursday...well, that's a different story. He never said I would REMAIN normal.....oh well, onto that pile of black twill...7 more needing zippers and to be hemmed, then 3 prs. gym culottes and Lord willing, this should be the last year for this! Our case worker had not been informed by the county of the great news re S and J, so we are still waiting to hear about the next step...have a GREAT day!!!!
10 comments at the time I write this. Is that a record or what??
I think your post was a totally fitting way for a friend to say...Hey I need you too!! I agree with the other reader who says after checking in for a while and finding no new posts, she(or he) was disappointed. I get the same feeling of being cut off temporarily from you...I can imagine when you check and find no comments there...how sad.
I am inspired by you and am starting the set up of my own blog to create that same sense of connectedness with those I love.
Technical challenges can and will be overcome, although at times I feel like a total idiot.
Thanks for the great posts and keep em coming. I'll put on the coffee. Love to all the Fam.
Yes A, but you'll notice that nearly all of them are from one crazy saint friend of mine.
Well, 'Tunie, you know my motto...If a little is good, a lot is better....!!!!!! (said with wild eyed maniacal grin)....OH NO!!!! Not the dreaded "saint" comment.....AARRGGHHHH!!!
LOL I've been trying to get my relatives to blog for years. Let me know if you succeed!
For those who said "I don't know how", go to www.blogger.com. It's self-explanatory from there.
I'm from Australia and have been reading your blog for some time. I was introduced to it by my sister who writes aussieopianfamily. I've laughed and cried while reading your experiences. You are extremely courageous and I admire you. As for writing my own blog, I don't think I'm there yet. I don't have alot of time with work, a wonderful husband and three kids(I know you're probably thinking it doesn't take much time) but that's my excuse at the moment. I promise to make comment more in future! PM
Thanks for the kind words...Leisa's sister. I guess you'll be an Aussieopian Auntie? Try and say that fast a few times!
